Sauna Supplies 4 the People ("we," "us," "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through this website, why we collect it, and how it's used. It covers what this site actually does today and what it is built to do imminently (online checkout) -- it does not describe features that don't exist yet.
Contact and product-request information. When you use the Contact page's "Request a Product" form, we collect your name, email address, and (optionally) phone number, along with the product details you provide (product name, SKU/model, quoted price, seller/company, and your message).
Join the People pledge information. When you Join the People, we collect: your first name; your email address; the wellness commitment (pledge selection) you choose (e.g. "Making my health a priority"); and confirmation that you accepted the pledge. We also create People’s Price authorization/access data -- a record that your pledge was completed and a small authorization token used to recognize your browser (see "Join the People Access" below). This information is used solely to create and validate your People's Price access. If you separately check the optional "send me occasional wellness deals" box, we also record that consent -- tracked independently from your pledge, never required to join or to access People’s Price (see Marketing Consent below).
The People / Share Your Setup submissions. If you submit a story through "Share Your Setup" on the The People page, we currently collect: your first name; your city and state if you choose to provide them; your setup/story/caption text; an optional social media handle; and your confirmation that you consent to us displaying that material publicly. Photo upload through this online form is not available yet (see "The People Submissions" below) -- the customer photographs already shown on that page were provided to us directly by those customers outside of this website, not through an online upload feature.
Order information. When you check out, payment is processed directly by Stripe, our payment processor. We receive your name, email address, shipping address, and order details (items, quantities, prices, shipping charge) from Stripe in order to fulfill your order. We do not receive or store your full card number -- Stripe handles that directly, subject to Stripe's own privacy policy.
Cart contents. While you're shopping, the items in your cart (product identifiers and quantities only) are stored in your browser's local storage, not on our servers, until you proceed to checkout.
Basic technical/security information. Like most websites, this site is hosted and protected using Cloudflare's infrastructure, which processes standard connection information (such as IP address) as part of delivering and securing the site. For the Product Request and Join the People forms specifically, we retain a one-way cryptographic hash of your IP address (not the IP address itself) briefly, solely to prevent automated abuse of those forms.
Joining the People does not create a password-protected account. Instead, after you complete the pledge, we set one small, secure browser cookie that lets our checkout system recognize your browser as authorized for People's Price on a future visit -- the cookie itself is a random value with no personal information in it, and it is never readable by other websites. The visible "access code" shown to you after joining (the same for every member) is a branding element, not a security credential -- it does not, on its own, unlock any pricing; our server independently verifies your browser's cookie against your actual pledge record before applying People's Price anywhere, including at checkout.
The People page features real customer photographs and stories. The photographs currently shown were provided to us directly by those customers (outside of this website) and published with their permission. The "Share Your Setup" form on that page lets any customer submit a story in text -- first name, city/state (if provided), setup/story/caption, and an optional social handle -- along with confirmation that they consent to it being displayed publicly; secure photo upload through that form is not yet available ("R2" file storage isn't enabled on our hosting platform yet) and we do not pretend otherwise on the page itself. Every submission, whether or not it includes a photo, is reviewed by us before anything is published -- nothing appears on the site automatically or immediately. If you'd like a published submission corrected or removed, or have any question about material you submitted or that we've published about you, contact us at help@saunasupplies4thepeople.com.
This site sets one functional cookie -- the Join the People authorization cookie described above -- solely to remember that you've completed the pledge. It is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking. Your shopping cart separately uses your browser's local storage (not a cookie) to remember what you've added, and that data stays on your device until checkout.
Google Analytics is not currently installed on this site. If we enable it in the future, we will update this policy to describe what's collected and, where required, provide appropriate cookie-consent controls.
We do not sell your personal information. Providing your email to Join the People does not automatically enroll you in marketing emails -- that requires a separate, optional opt-in, tracked as its own field so it can be honored (or withdrawn) independently of your People's Price access.
We share information only as needed to operate the store:
We do not share your information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
We have not yet finalized a specific data-retention schedule for order and request records. Until we do, we retain this information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above (such as order records, warranty support, and legal/accounting requirements), and will update this section with specific retention periods once that decision is made. [Flagged for business/legal review before production launch.]
You may contact us at any time to ask what information we have about you, to request a correction, or to request deletion where applicable -- including asking us to revoke your Join the People access or update your marketing-consent preference. Email help@saunasupplies4thepeople.com for any of these requests. If you are located in a jurisdiction that grants you specific data-privacy rights (for example under state or national privacy law), contact us and we will respond as required by the law that applies to you.
This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this policy as our practices or this website change, including once online checkout, analytics, and email notifications are fully active. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do.
